Since using youbreathe , the improvements in my lung function have been significant and I have found it a really useful and important training aid. As an endurance athlete, I am continually looking for ways to improve my racing and training performance and the youbreathe has enabled me to get the maximum benefit from my training sessions. Regular use of youbreathe has meant that when I get to the start line I am confident that I have covered all bases in training and will race well. I thoroughly recommend youbreathe.

After regularly using youbreathe, my exercise and cold-weather induced asthma has been reduced to the point where I've not renewed the prescription for my inhalers. I also use the device as a relaxation technique to combat stress and stress-related sleeping problems. If I'm feeling stressed and unable to sleep (something which happens a lot!), I use youbreathe before going to bed, and it helps regulate my breathing which in turn, allows me to sleep soundly through the night. I highly reccommend youbreathe to anyone who suffers from asthma and also those who have problems winding down at the end of the day. Spending simply 5-10 minutes focusing on my breathing with youbreathe has helped me combat stress which was previously severely disrupting my sleep.

I suffer from a fairly harsh case of asthma, which gets me at the most of inconvenient of times and you may have read my Gamucci review and seen that I smoke too. So Steve and Becky decided I was the perfect guinea pig! Got home and put together the device, which looks like a breathalyser, and after being warned it may cause me to havean attack, I cautiously put it to my mouth and pushed the button. The youbreathe works by twisting the air you breath, so it forces the muscles in your throat to work harder when you breathe. Also included in the package is a rubber plug to make you work even harder. I have to admit, I was sceptic when someone told me it would considerably improve my asthma, and other than the odd vibrating sensation in your belly, nothing feels uncomfortable. Only 5 minutes a day is the recommended usage, but even within the first week you feel the difference. I was really impressed with the youbreathe and would recommend it to anyone with breathing difficulties. For around £90 it’s a price to pay, but for the ability to not worry about having an inhaler, should you ever be in a situation, it’s priceless.

"My wife is an asthmatic whose shallow breathing has restricted her exercise to gentle swimming, even after just one weeks use she has noticed an improvement in her lung capacity and feels she is breathing from a deeper part of her lungs. Her exercise levels are on the up. All good news!!"

"I am 66 years old and I have had asthma since I was 6 years old. Since starting work at 15 years old as a joiner my work was physical and demanding I went into the nuclear industry aged 39 and became a fuelling foreman on the reactors very active work.I retired aged 52 and came to live in the borders from hartlepool. I have told you some of my back ground as you can not evaluate anything if you dont know back ground information. My daughter told me about breathing appliances so I looked on the internet I was not sure of any of them and yours seemed the best bet to me, and as I do not know any one with one I decided to give yours a go. I am very pleased with the results I am getting so far after using the breathing appliance. I feel more relaxed and definitely a calm feeling it is to early for me to give a complete analysis on my feelings on youbreathe at the moment but the signs are looking very good."

"I started using youbreathe in increased my breathing performance quickly. I found that I didn't need my asthma drugs as much, maybe about 50% less. I use my youbreathe during training sessions for recovery and have found that it helps me recover for my next training session. Please don't give this to any of my competitors!"

"I was approached to use the youbreathe early on this year to see if it would have any effects on my peak flow readings. I am an Elite level cyclist and have used these kind of breathing apparatus before, but the Youbreathe is different in that it uses vibration to enhance the breathing technique. I was a bit sceptical at first but after using it for 6 weeks my peak flow rocketed to levels that i had never produced before. I now use the Youbreathe on a daily basis and i believe that this product has helped me to numerous wins this season."

"Vibration training has the potential to increase muscle strength and flexibility. The use of the youbreathe vibrated training device for the training of respiratory muscles is novel and represents a potentially useful method to improve respiratory muscle strength and endurance. These changes could lead to reduced feelings of breathlessness during exercise and may benefit exercise performance."

“Success in sport requires an athlete to strive for optimal levels of performance through detailed and specific training modalities. Such an approach is particular important in WTF Sport Taekwondo, a full contact Olympic sport where lack of preparation can have obvious consequences.
Taekwondo players from Jaguar Taekwondo have incorporated youbreathe technology into their everyday training regime to try and enhance their performance, with excellent results. The vibration stimulus provided by youbreathe appears to enhance 1. the athlete’s capacity for work and more importantly 2. recovery profiles both in competition (intra- and inter-fights) and in training.”

"I've been using the youbreathe breathing unit for a few months now and have noticed a difference in the way I breathe during exercise. It sort of gives you that feeling of being able to draw that little bit deeper whilst you're working hard. Also as a result my peak flow readings have increased."
Jon Horsman
"I started youbreathe in Feb 05 whilst recovering from a fractured elbow and saw my breathing improve from peak flow 560 - 650 in less than 2 months, which largely must be down to the youbreathe device. I had a very successful year in my age group triathlon races and I'm sure that this is not coincidence."
